Winter Wedding Favor Idea: Hot Chocolate Mix
This winter wedding favor idea is so warm and cozy and friendly. What a nice way to say "thanks" to your guests! There is nothing better than a big warm mug of hot cocoa when it is cold outside to warm your spirits. Materials Needed: - Glass Bottles with cork top (I got the bottle shown for less than a dollar at a craft store)
- Funnel
- Ribbon & tags
- Hot chocolate mix or mix your own (see recipe below)

For this winter wedding favor idea you can buy pre-mixed hot cocoa powder or you can buy the bulk materials to make your own. It is cheaper to make your own mix, and more personal too! Search online for unique hot cocoa mix recipes, variations include adding cinammon, red pepper, more or less sugar/salt, vanilla and peppermint! I have enjoyed
this cocoa in a jar
recipe, but there are many variations to pick from! Or, make up your own! Make sure you write on your tag if it is to be mixed with water or milk as recipes vary depending on ingredients.
Use a funnel and pour in your hot cocoa mix!

Next, dress up your bottle! Using some pretty ribbon, tie a "scarf" around your winter wedding favor and tie on a printed tag too. The tag can say something like "Melissa & Andrew wish you many cozy evenings this season" or "Enjoy a Cup of Cocoa" or "Something Sweet for all our Sweet Friends & Family" or a message of your creation! You can put a list of ingredients, even name your mix "Melissa & Andrew's Cozy Cocoa" and put your wedding date, instructions "Mix 1 table spoon with hot milk and relax" or whatever you like.

Doesn't the ribbon look like a cozy scarf around the bottle? Consider other mixes you could substitute instead of cocoa. Chai tea? A spice rub for steaks? Lots of options. Have fun with this winter wedding favor idea and be sure to sip a mug yourself while you are crafting!
