Wedding Reception Decorations for the Walls...When You Can't Use Nails!
What can you use on the walls for your wedding reception decorations if you can't use nails? Many rental halls for weddings have a strict "no nails" policy, which means your wall decoration options are limited. When you can't affix any decorations to the walls you may be dissappointed in the idea of bare walls, or even upset that you'll be stuck with their wall art that doesn't match your wedding theme. Materials: - Garden Trellis (at least 6' on one side)
- Paint (optional)
- Decoration (fabric, lights, fresh flowers, silk flowers, ribbon, etc)
A few garden trellises propped up against the walls make the perfect base for your wedding reception decorations. Select a trellis that has a measurement of at least 6' on one side so it will display high up on your walls. These can be purchased at any garden center, including many big chain hardware stores. Simple wooden trellises (as in photo example) are very cheap, but you can also find beautiful iron and copper ones if you have the budget.

Your trellis can be transformed into beautiful wedding reception decorations for your walls by painting it (spray paint is fastest) and weaving in decorative elements. Fresh or fake flowers can be woven in between the holes, as well as draped fabric and ribbon. If you select fresh flowers be sure to select flowers that can survive without water or insert stems into individual water cups.

A few decorated garden trellises are all you'll need for beautiful wedding reception decorations in any location where you can't use nails in the walls. You can bring a gardenlike atmosphere inside your reception hall by studding it with colorful flowers, or you can drape them with fabrics that match your color scheme. Have fun decorating your garden trellis!
