Wedding Flip Flops: What Could Be More Comfortable?

The wedding flip flop trend makes me happy. Their popularity proves that weddings are becoming more about having a good time, being yourself and being comfortable! Wedding flip flops are a cheap and fun choice for your back up pair of shoes too. What could be more comfortable than putting on a pair of flip flops to dance in at your reception?

If you are having a beach themed wedding, flip flops definitely come in handy. If you’ve never tried to walk in sand while wearing heels I don’t recommend it. You basically sink down into the sand and end up walking in place. Since sand can be very hot (trust me, as a Los Angeles beach frequenter I’ve burned my feet before—ouch!) going barefoot isn’t always the best choice. Wedding flip flops are the perfect choice!

There are tons of cute wedding flip flops out on the market these days, personalized ones that say “bride” or “groom” for example. Plain white ones can be decorated in a variety of ways. See this article on decorating your wedding flip flops to get some ideas.

If you want silver flip flops and can’t find them, you can also turn wedding flip flops silver or gold the DIYer way.

Consider wearing wedding flip flops in your wedding colors too…you don’t have to stick to white! For example, if your wedding colors are pink and brown, a pair of pink flip flops with a brown ribbon tied on them would be adorable.

Wedding flip flops are a great gift for the couple too. Add them (be sure to get the correct sizes) to a gift basket with bath robes, scented candles, massage oils, champagne and sweets as a fun “after the wedding” gift for the couple to enjoy.
