Make Your Own Wedding Envelope Seals

You can easily make your own wedding envelope seals using any image you want! And I'm not talking about gluing them down or taping them either. No, this method will produce beautiful, clean and professional looking seals that can be designed any way, shape or size you wish.

If you are wanting to press and use real leaves or real flowers, this clear sticker wedding envelope seals method is a better way to go.

Supplies Needed:
Paper & Sticker Machine

The paper that you will use as seals could be printed images from your computer. Could be a message, your names or even photos. You could also use just decorative paper, magazine clippings, vintage images from children's books.

Xyron Create-a-Sticker Machine 500 (the 5" one) which you can purchase from a craft store for $30 or less...trust me this thing is worth it. It will come in handy in many ways, in labeling favors and gifts and even using it to make address labels. They are super fun to own.

How to Make Wedding Envelope Seals:

First, you'll have to figure out how many you need and figure out what you are doing for the seals themselves. I'll share a few examples here to hopefully spark some ideas for you! Typically, seals are no larger than 2.5" in any direction, so keep that in mind. For use with the sticker machine, your starting image has to be flat on paper. Thicker cardstock will absolutely work but nothing thicker than that.

Possibly the quickest way to create your stickers is to simply use a large paper punch with decorative paper. I bought my large circle punch and leaf punch from a craft store, there are many shapes available that would work for your wedding envelope seals! You can use the same paper punch for these paper punch wedding favor tags and also in these paper punch wedding invitations to create a coordinating set.

You feed your paper cutouts into your sticker making machine and turn the knob. Out the otherside they come...as stickers! Adhesive is applied to the back of the paper only, nothing is covering the top of your paper so the image remains vibrant. The above flower image stickers were made from a garden seed catalog!

These examples are all from either decorative papers or from a garden catalog. However, you could just as easily print your images (including text!) and turn them into wedding stickers for your invitations.

You don't have to use a paper punch of course, you could hand cut them. However, if you are doing more than 30 invitations I'd suggest sticking with a paper punch. So much easier and will save you tons of time.
