Photos of In Season Summer Wedding Flowers
If your wedding is in the summer, you are in luck when in comes to summer wedding flowers! Almost everything is in abundance in this season. When flowers are in abundance it means the prices are a bit lower which is good news for your bridal budget. Many fall, winter and spring blooms are also available in summer so check out our
Fall Summer Wedding Flowers
page for black-eyed susans, hydrangeas and chrysanthemums. The
Spring Summer Wedding Flowers
page has additional info and photos on orchids and iris flowers. Lastly, the
Winter Wedding Blooms
page has photos on roses and carnations--which are available year round. Gerbera Daisies - These are an excellent and super affordable bridal blooms choice. They come in any color imaginable and last and last as a cut flower. Great pick for the DIYer.
Lavender - This lovely scented purple flower is generally only available in the summer, although can be used dried at any time of the year.
Hibiscus - These showy flowers come in vibrant tropical colors and would be great for a tropical, island or beach wedding theme.
Marigold - Easy to grow yourself but unfortunately many people are put off by their scent. It doesn't bother me, I really love these flowers with their bright, happy colors. If you aren't sure, head to a garden nursery and check them out for yourself. Come in oranges and yellow only.
Peonies - Huge, showy peonies grow in delicate pastel pinks, creams and whites. An excellent choice for summer wedding flowers.
Jasmine - Tiny white flowers that pack a punch with their heady scent. Beautiful and wonderful for weddings and the scent will always remind you of that day.
Coneflower - These flowers are where the herb echinacea comes from. Hardy flowers that do well when cut.
With a little research and effort you can be sure that the blooms you want will be available for your wedding. Be sure to use in season flowers to save money. It's your wedding, do it the way you want! Return to the Wedding Centerpiece Ideas main section for tons more DIY ideas!
