In Season Spring Wedding Flower Pictures
As a rule of thumb, if you want to save money on your floral budget, plan to use in season blooms. So many lovely blossoms to pick from in spring: lilacs, daffodils, orchids, hyacinth and of course tulips to name a few. Here are many in season spring wedding flower pictures for your spring wedding planning! We also have a Photos of In Season Fall Wedding Flowers article if your wedding is in autumn. Tulips - Tulips are the obvious favorite for spring! They come in a myriad of colors: near black purple, blues, reds, pinks, yellows, orange and even white. They do start to droop slightly in an arrangement but they can be straightened out by wrapping them in newspaper and then set the stems in water overnight. For DIY arrangements plan on purchasing and arranging the tulips the day before--no more than two days prior to the reception for best looking blooms.
Lilacs - The sweet scent of purple and white lilacs entice many brides to select them for their spring wedding flowers. However, lilacs are in season for a very short time so check with your florist about availability during your selected date. They need to be in water at all times or will wilt quickly. Even in water lilac arrangements generally start to droop and wilt after only 24 hours. Unless you have lilac bushes in your own yard, don't try to DIY with lilacs as they just don't keep long enough.
Hyacinth - Hyacinths have a similar look to lilacs (bunches of tiny flowers in white or purple) but tend to last much longer when cut. A great in season spring flower option!
Iris - Lovely iris flowers are wonderful cut flowers, lasting several days, affortable and come in many colors.
Daffodil Warm and happy daffodils are also excellent cut spring wedding flowers and come in yellows and whites.
Hopefully these spring wedding flower pictures gave you some ideas to start from when picking your color scheme for your spring nuptuals. Remember roses are always available (in pretty much all colors) and can be incorporated into other in season flower arrangements. It's your wedding, do it the way you want!
