Simple Shell Garland Decoration for a Beach Wedding

This homemade shell garland decoration is perfect for beach weddings! Use it to add a touch of the beach to the indoors or hang it outdoors too.

Indoors, it is great hung on a doorknob to a bathroom or wrapped around a vase. Use it to tie back fabric too. Outdoors you can hang it from the backs of chairs or in groupings to create shell windchimes.

If you have a beach near you or if you already collect shells, you can usually find some that have holes already in them. If not, put on your dust mask and use a drill to create holes!

I will spare you more detailed instructions since it is pretty obvious. Find shells with holes or drill holes, put on sturdy string. Done!

This is such a simple project and it is a great alternative to just filling vases with shells or scattering them on tables...although you could do that too. I especially love them hung down in groupings together to create a natural windchime for you to enjoy after the wedding too.
