Easy Paper Garland for your Wedding Decorations
Unlike origami garland or cut paper garland, this style is so, so, so simple and quick to put togehter. This means you can do a whole bunch of it and completely deck out a room in it. The colors of the paper you pick will determine the look and feel of your decorations but you aren't stuck to just one color. In my examples, I used decorative multi-colored papers as well as cut up greeting cards! You can use magazines, junk mail, just about anything paper. I cut strips of paper in various lengths and thicknesses. No need to be exact here! Then I folded each strip over top of some cotton kitchen twine and glued both sides of the paper together.
You can intentionally plan the spacing or just do it randomly like I did. Either way, these will be light and flutter in the breeze. These are a nice alternative to traditional crepe streamers or even pennant banners! Head to the Do It Yourself Wedding Decorations section for even more DIY projects for your ceremony and reception space!
