Monogrammed Wedding Cake Cookies

Monogrammed Wedding Cake Cookies
I searched the internet for ideas, but decided to go with my own plan. I used the wedding colors of light blue, ivory, and brown. Using a tried and true sugar cookie recipe, I rolled out the dough, cut the cookies, and baked them. I used three different decorating tips and three flavors of frosting, one for each color. The brown was chocolate flavored, the blue was vanilla, and the ivory was cream cheese flavor. Then I piped the initial of the bride's new last name to be. My daughter saw the cookies and asked if I would make them as wedding favors using her colors of aqua, brown, and ivory. I made 168 cookies and we put them in clear bags which we placed on the tables in the reception hall. It was quite an undertaking, but well worth it. Everyone just loved them! |
