Herb Centerpieces...From My Own Garden

I created these rustic herb centerpieces for my summer wedding using plants from my own garden and little mason jars.

Our wedding theme was rustic countryside and the food at our reception used lots of fresh herbs so we decided to use them also for decor. The centerpieces had lavender, parsley, thyme and mint in them. They smelled fantastic and lots of guests asked what the herbs were.

We skipped flowers entirely and since the herb centerpieces were from our own garden it didn't cost a penny. We live in San Francisco and our herb garden is really our entire porch and the side of the driveway that we have in containers. Anyone has room to do this!

If you want to grow your own for your herb centerpieces I suggest starting 6 months in advance at least.
