I saw these DIY Groomsmen boutonnieres on Martha Stewart's website but they were a completely different design. I just bought a couple spools of discount ribbon; I paid $1.50 in all and started looping in a crosswise pattern. I tacked it together using some basic stiches in the back of the boutonniere and layered the loops on top of each other careful to cover up my stitching. Since I'm an avid sewer I already have the pins for placing these on the Groomsmens jackets. I embellished them all with buttons I had one hand and the cost per piece for these was $0.25. I am very excited for the guys to wear them. I might even do one or two in a different color for the flowergirl and hot glue them to a head band for her to wear. This is an easy project that takes about 15 minutes per piece. Have fun with it and use different colors. I added green (picture shown) to the ones that the Fathers will wear to distinguish them a bit.
