Cuff Links and Bracelets
My wedding is in a few months. I decided to make favours.
For the men, I made cuff links. I bought the cuff link backs and attached with super glue, the front part of the cuff links. I decided for the front part, I would buy charms which had a Celtic design on them. I think the cuff links cost about 70p a pair and took about 2 hrs to put together. I have noticed that one or 2 of the top parts came loose but I think that was because the glue had not dried properly. I have since reattached them and have noticed no problems.
For the Women, I made gem stone bracelets, the materials for these include gem stones, bracelet chord, clasps and silver coloured beads. Where possible, I made the bracelet to the birthstone of the individual female guests but where not possible, I have just made them in colours that I think they would like. I am not sure about how much the bracelets cost in the end. This has taken me a bit longer as there are more women coming to the wedding but I think all in all, probably a few days doing a couple of hours a day.
I am going to put the bracelets and Cuff links in individual netted bags with a few chocolates in. Attached to the bags will be a tag with their name on. This can also double up as part of the table decorations and the place names. I am going to hand make the paper out of old bills and put seeds in the mixture before reforming it into paper. This way when the guests get home, they can plant their name tags.
