Cheap Wedding Centerpiece Idea - Rustic Vase

This cheap wedding centerpiece idea for revamping a recycled glass jar is easy and almost free! You'll use jars (mason jars, spaghetti sauce jars, olive jars, etc) that you simply wash out and sticks from your yard. Just the glue gun and glue sticks have to be purchased if you don't already have them...which you should!

Ask friends and family to start saving up jars for you and start collecting sticks on every walk you go on. In a very short time you'll have all the materials needed for this project and it will be for free!

This creates a very rustic looking vase but you can add different ribbons and embellishments around it to change the tone. The brown sticks are very neutral so you can alter this to work with so many different moods. Same goes with the flowers you put inside of course, we used some earthy lavender and other herbs to compliment the rustic look of the sticks.

Cut a pile of sticks roughly the same height to fit your jar and then start gluing them on one by one using the hot glue gun.

I added some decorative paper around and some green raffia on top of that to add a little color. This is a great project for disguising a vase jar! Enjoy!
